I'm a mother of two beautiful, talented girls and an artist of photography and mixed media. I change my visual collections as often as I change my hair color...and that's a lot! I fight daily to balance being a mother, a student and a successful artist and this is my journey...

Frostbite in Florida
I am not going to complain about the cold after the record heat we experienced here in the month of October. I refuse to. I finally get to wear all those coats and boots I have bought every year to be fashion conscious only to put them away after one or two wearings. I look at them longingly every fall! I am dressing to the nines to go run mundane errands and my black hair looks more at home in this weather than the sea of blonde hair and tans that are the norm around here. So, I'm cool...figuratively and literally. I like. It does make me want to curl up with a good book and a cup of hot tea and just hibernate, which is something else we don't get to do too often around here. So, I am going to enjoy it while it lasts! ...and that probably won't be too terribly long because the weather here DOES change about as quick as the fashion trends. Off to do some writing and maybe a little bit of painting...

It's funny, I had to go buy a cold weather jacket. I can't remember the last time I wore one unless you count my motorcycle jacket with all the liners in. I don't even remember a year that I haven't gotten by with a hoodie all winter. That having been said, I enjoy the cold weather too. Nothing like a change of pace to slow us down a little bit and give us reasons to snuggle up. :)
Yup...I LOVE snuggling up with that cup of tea and a great book. Makes me appreciate winter weather all that much more.
