Making Friends In Art

I had absolutely the BEST day today. I went out to my BFs house and we got the kids together to play and cooked out burgers. She has cows and we grilled burgers...they were good, too. (Face of shame...I like an occasional burger or steak.) We got to talk today and just be mellow and hang out. I got home and was feeling really puny and had to cancel my night plans...sorry, Jenn and Suesi!...I can't tell if I have a cold or just a really bad sinus thing going on but I took some meds and ate dinner with Hannah, curled up to watch "Sweet Home Alabama" (my all-time fave chick flick!)and held Hannah on my lap and rocked her until she fall asleep, drank some hot tea and now I am getting ready to sit and start "Eclipse". I love to read.
On my way home today, I stopped at Walmart to pick up that sinus medicine and I ran into two friends who are also artists and talked to them about coming by to see my work. They think I should take some pieces by the Gallery here in town and I want them to see it and tell me what they honestly think first and then I agreed that I would submit if I had them behind me! LOL The whole process makes me NER-VOUS! I am thinking things are heading in the right direction again. I get a little off-track sometimes but I am back in it and ready to concentrate again. I want to see new things start to happen in my life. I am tired of repeating the same mistakes over and over and I don't want to be afraid of change anymore. I will make it through school, get my degree and become a successful artist! Failure is not an option. I want to do good in this world and make people happy.
