When You Are Hit With An Artist's Block-

"Every child is born an artist. The problem is, how to remain an artist when you become an adult." -Picasso

Today I am going to go act my daughter's age (5) instead of my own. I started a gummy bear fight in my living room with her today and now we are heading to the beach to build sandcastles and play (as much as the 115 degree heat index will allow us to w/o a trip to the ER for heat exhaustion!). I am taking my art journal with me and I am taking my writing computer as well because I feel my muse tapping me on the shoulder. Hannah will be with her Dad for the next three nights and so I am going to use it as a writer's and artist's retreat. Hopefully, I'll come up with some great work before the weekend is up!

Tonight I'm headed out with friends for dinner and some fun. I need to have some adult time once in a while as well, for a balance! LOL So, next time you find yourself "blocked" remember to NOT act your age, and have some fun because you can redeem yourself later with some planned adult time. This will not only keep you balanced but block free! Happy creating!
