Old Photos and Facebook Reunions

If ever you need a great big huge pick-me-up just start going through old high school photo albums or scrapbooks. I happened across mine today while looking for something else and I have had the best time scanning them and uploading them to FB. My friends and I have actually been using FB for what it was meant for--reconnecting with old friends--not trashing them. It has been amazingly fun and we even support each other when things get bad or lift each others' spirits when one of us is feeling down. I have reconnected with friends that I thought were gone forever after I moved and got involved with "life". We get to see each others' children and families and it's almost like a mini reunion every week. It feels like Christmas to me when I log on and wait in anticipation to see if one friend's wife had the baby yet or another friend's husband is ok overseas. We celebrate birthdays, holidays, births of our kids and yes, even the deaths of people we loved and cared about. Mostly it's just fun to have people to hang out with and talk to because as we get older, we drift apart from a lot of our childhood friends but we can always laugh about that bad haircut or those ridiculous fashions that we thought were SO cool then! So, to all my FB friends from waaaay back when...and my new ones too!... I love you guys and thanks so much for making my week a little more tolerable! LOL
