stupid things parents do to impress their kids....

So yesterday morning my 4 year old was wowing her Dad and me with her newly learned sommersaults. It was cool and amazing and we gave the appropriate response of awe and pride. Then I decided to show her how cool I AM by doing a head stand. I managed to get my knees up on my elbows...then got my legs straight up and balanced...and then, SNAP. Felt something shift in my neck and it was downhill from there. Ended up in the emergency room and having 7 x-rays (and SWEAR I heard the doctors and nurses snickering and mumbling something like "when will they learn at their age...") So, those 7 x-rays, two shots of muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatory meds in BOTH ass cheeks, a monstrous bill and I am home on ice wondering how in the hell I could have been so freaking stupid! Oh yeah. I love my kid, that's how! We all do some dumb things to impress our kids. I did a poll of the medical staff while lying around waiting and they said that it happens all the time...LOL
