Relativity

I am always amazed at how family members who were supposed to love you your whole entire life can so easily write you off when your father remarries and has a whole new family. I could never turn my back on my children (or my grandchildren when they come). I love them too much. I think that is why my family here is so important to me. I feel like I need to protect them from my family there who, except for my younger sisters, have not acted like my family for many many years. That is also why so much of my art centers around family and the idea of familial closeness. I want my children to know I will always be here for them and I will always support them--NO MATTER WHAT.
